The third generation of the VW Tiguan arrived in Greece, with Wolfsburg’s C-SUV coming more upgraded and complete than ever, starting from €34,300
On the outside, the new Tiguan looks more modern than ever, while retaining some elements from its predecessor, which had established itself as one of the top C-SUVs on the market. This very “marriage” of the old and the new gives the German model a highly dynamic and refined appearance.
The new VW Tiguan is available on the Greek market from €34,300
The VW Tiguan is adorned with new, flat IQ.LIGHT HD matrix LED technology headlights and a horizontal strip behind the glass surface, strongly reminiscent of the ID.4. The vents are located on the outside of the bumper, with air curtains ensuring the best possible airflow.
There are also improvements in the drag coefficient, as it was reduced from 0.33 cd of the outgoing generation to 0.28 cd. Viewed from the side, it might remind some of the brand’s largest and most imposing SUV, the Touareg, thanks to its heavily accented fenders and large wheels.
The interior of the VW Tiguan is dominated by the company’s Digital Cockpit, which houses the digital instrument panel and the central, OLED screen of the infotainment system. The latter, in fact, depending on the version, can reach 15″.
In addition to these, the driver has at his disposal the head-up display, but also the rotary switch (with the small OLED screen) Driving Experience Control, which is used to control various functions, such as adjusting the volume of the voice and selecting the desired driving profile.
Regarding the powertrains, the plug-in hybrid option with either 204 or 272 PS performance seems to win the impressions. In fact, according to the factory, the hybrid system is capable of driving the Tiguan purely electrically for 100 km. The range of engines also includes diesel engines, with the familiar 2.0 TDI in 150 or 190 PS versions. As for the petrol engines, the versions with the turbo 1.5 TSI and mild hybrid technology are immediately available, with a power of 130 and 150 PS, while towards the end of the year two liter four-wheel drive versions will be added to the range.
In terms of prices, the entry-level version of the fully equipped VW Tiguan (9 airbags, LED headlights, 10″ digital instrument panel, 12.9″ central screen, reversing camera, sliding rear row of seats) starts at €34,300.
