Eva-Maria Brem, a former top alpine skiing athlete from Austria, recently welcomed her first child. The birth of her son Leo April 4th marks a new phase in life for the 2016 giant slalom World Cup winner and her long-term partner and former ski boot serviceman Andreas Dudek.
The proud mother shares her joy about the new family member with her followers on social media: “From the stomach and right into the heart. Welcome to this world, little one Leo. Mom and Dad are very grateful and thrilled!” writes the 35-year-old Tyrolean. This new beginning comes after the end of Brake impressive career in skiing, during which she celebrated numerous successes, including gold at the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships in the team competition and three World Cup victories.
Brakewho ended her active career after the 2020/21 Ski World Cup season, received numerous congratulations from former colleagues such as Anna Veith and Mikaela Shiffrin. The Tyrolean, who was also Austria’s Athlete of the Year in 2016, looks back on 16 seasons in the Ski World Cup, in which she established herself as one of the most consistent athletes in her discipline.
