The Neuquén Police carried out an important operation to dismantle a drug trafficking network: forty days of investigation, two raids, millions of pesos seized and large quantities of drugs. The operation took place in the El Mirador neighborhood of the town of Añelo.
As explained by the Neuquén Police, in an “important operation that required more than 40 days of investigation, police personnel from the Investigation Brigade Office dependent on the 10th Police Station, with collaboration from the Neuquén Anti-Narcotics Directorate, d“dismantled a drug trafficking network that operated in two homes in the El Mirador neighborhood of the town of Añelo.”
The investigation began on February 23 when police officers raided two homes in the El Mirador neighborhood. There it was confirmed that in both homes the “illicit activity of retail sale of narcotics as well as delivery, both marijuana and cocaine.
The police officers explained that during different times of the dayvarious people went to the properties to purchase narcotics. «After collecting compelling evidence, the members of the Investigation Brigade Office dependent on the 10th Police Station, with collaboration from the Neuquén Anti-Narcotics Directorate, They executed the judicial search procedure granted by Federal Court Number 2″, they said.
During the raid they seized more than one million pesos in cash, 11 wrappers of cocaine ready for sale and 321 grams of loose cocaine, 450 grams of marijuana, a firearm, ammunition, cell phones, and two motorcycles, one of them with a request for kidnapping for theft.
Three people were also detained during the operation. Now, they await charges.
