It is the film that obtained at the box office one of the highest grossing of the nineties: we are talking about “Basic Instinct”, an erotic thriller directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Michael Douglas (in the role of detective Nick Curran, called to investigate the murder of rock star Johnny Boz) and by a then little known Sharon Stone (who lent her face to the charming writer and psychologist Catherine Tramell, who was with Boz in his club on the night of the crime). Costing 49 million dollars in the United States alone, it collected over 117 million (in Italy it received over 30 billion lire). But this is not the only curiosity about the film, which can be seen again Saturday 12 February on Iris at 9.00 pm.
