With the aim of providing recreation and entertainment areas to the Salvadoran population, the Minister of Public Works (MOP), Romeo Rodríguez, said that he began an improvement plan for 100 fields throughout the country.
“We are going to make fields in the 14 departments of the country, in record time, in four months we are going to deliver them, they are decent spaces for young people,” explained the head of the Ministry of Public Works.
According to the official’s information, sports spaces are already being intervened in districts such as Apopa and San Juan Opico, where they are rehabilitating soccer fields, to give decent spaces to young people.
“In Opico we are going to build a court in a place that was a playground for gang members, where crimes were committed and now families are going to have fun. We are going to make fields in the 14 departments of the country, in record time, in four months we are going to deliver them, they are decent spaces for young people,” added Minister Romeo Rodríguez.
