Mumbai: CSK coach Stephen Fleming has explained that the key fast bowler will not be in the Chennai Super Kings team in the match against the Mumbai Indians.

Fast bowler Madisha Pathirana was one of the main reasons Chennai Super Kings won the trophy in the 2023 IPL series. He was injured before the 2024 IPL series. So he did not participate in CSK’s first match. After that he played in two matches and took 4 wickets.

He then missed two matches due to injury again. At this stage he was expected to participate in the important match against Mumbai Indians. However, CSK coach Stephen Fleming said that even if he recovers, he will be used in matches only after he is 100 percent ready.

Deepak Sahar was also injured in the last match. Therefore, the CSK team is stuck without forming the right pace bowler alliance. Currently, Mustafizur Rahman and Tusshar Deshpande are bowling well. Thirdly, if Pathirana also returns to the team, CSK’s bowling will get full strength.

This match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians is seen as an important match among the fans. Chennai Super Kings – Mumbai Indians teams have clashed in 36 matches so far. In which Mumbai team has won 20 matches.
