I am 67,152 new Coronavirus infections in Italy today, February 11, 2022, according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. Furthermore, another 334 dead.
In the last 24 hours, 663,786 swabs were processed with a positive rate of 10.1%. In addition, there are 16,824 hospitalized with symptoms, -530 since yesterday and 1,265 in intensive care, -57 since yesterday, while 10 million recovered or discharged since the beginning of the pandemic has been exceeded.
DATA FROM THE REGION
LOMBARDY – There are 7,099 new coronavirus infections registered today, 11 February, in Lombardy. According to the data released by the Lombardy Region bulletin, 88,923 swabs were carried out, for a positivity index of 7.9%. There were 60 deaths, for a total of 37,927 since the start of the pandemic. There are 2,161 (-111) hospitalized in Lombard hospitals and those in intensive care 174 (-8). In the province of Milan there are 2,196 new cases, of which 849 in Milan city, Bergamo 620, Brescia 992, Como 472, Cremona 238, Lecco 181, Lodi 118, Mantua 374, Monza and Brianza 551 , in Pavia 410, in Sondrio 117 and in Varese 575.
PIEDMONT – There are 3,891 new coronavirus infections today 11 February in Piedmont, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 22 deaths. The Crisis Unit of the Region has communicated that the new cases, of which 3,029 identified after antigenic tests, are equal to 6.9% of 56,001 swabs performed, of which 48,108 antigenic: the asymptomatic are 3,345 (86%). There are 2963 screening cases, 662 case contacts, 266 with ongoing investigation. The total of positive cases becomes 942.195, of which 77.016 Alessandria, 43.210 Asti, 36.341 Biella, 127.674 Cuneo, 71.927 Novara, 499.564 Turin, 33.451 Vercelli, 33.594 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 4.598 residents outside the region but in charge of health facilities Piedmontese. The remaining 14,820 are under development and territorial assignment. There are 97 hospitalized in intensive care (-2 compared to yesterday). There are 1,732 hospitalized patients not in intensive care (-62 compared to yesterday). There are 73,371 people in home isolation. SICILY – There are 5,754 new infections from Coronavirus today, 11 February 2022 in Sicily, according to the Covid-19 data of the latest bulletin of the Region, which from Monday 14 February from orange returns to the yellow zone. Since yesterday, 34 deaths have been recorded, but only four are from the last 24 hours and the others refer to the previous days. Since yesterday, 38,018 swabs, including molecular and antigenic swabs have been processed.
On the island, the current positives are 277,684. 3,251 people have healed since yesterday. Of the current positives, 1,323 patients are hospitalized with symptoms, while 116 patients are in intensive care. This is the breakdown of the new cases on a provincial basis: 1,214 in Palermo, 1,529 in Catania, 900 in Messina, 436 in Ragusa, 359 in Trapani, 696 in Syracuse, 304 in Caltanissetta, 414 in Agrigento and 217 in Enna.
LAZIO – There are 6,722 new coronavirus infections today, 11 February, in Lazio, according to the bulletin with Covid data from the Region. Specifically, “out of 22,465 molecular swabs and 58,651 antigenic swabs for a total of 81,116 swabs, there are 6,722 new positive cases (-1,411), 24 deaths (+9), 1,989 hospitalized (-5), 184 intensive care (-7) and +10,577 patients recovered. The ratio between positives and swabs is 8.2%. Cases in Rome city are at 3,025. MARCHE – There are 2,556 new coronavirus infections today, 11 February 2022 in the Marche region, according to the covid-19 data of the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday there have been 6 deaths for a total of 3,496 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. In the last 24 hours, 10,719 molecular and antigenic swabs have been made. The number of hospitalizations is decreasing, 10 fewer than yesterday, and intensive care units occupied, 3 fewer since yesterday. Among the provinces with the highest number of new cases Ancona at 736, Macerata at 587, Pesaro Urbino at 446 and Ascoli Piceno at 355.
CALABRIA – 2,055 new infections were registered today, February 11, in Calabria according to the Covid-19 emergency bulletin released by the Health Protection Department of the Region. Recorded 8 deaths, for a total of 1,987 deaths. 11,481 swabs performed. The bulletin also records +1,385 recovered, +662 currently positive, -2 hospitalizations (for a total of 354) and, finally, -1 intensive care (for a total of 22).
SARDINIA – There are 2,575 coronavirus infections in Sardinia today, 11 February 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 4 more deaths. A total of 15,056 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. The patients admitted to the intensive care units are 29 (- 1), those in the medical area are 413 (+10) while 32,197 are cases of home isolation (+1,011).
TUSCANY – There are 4,512 new coronavirus infections today 11 February in Tuscany, according to the data of the latest covid-19 bulletin anticipated on social networks by the president of the Region Eugenio Giani. Recorded another 26 deaths. “The new cases of Covid registered in Tuscany in the last 24 hours are 4,512 out of 40,265 tests of which 12,748 molecular swabs and 27,517 rapid tests – reads the post – The rate of new positives is 11.21% (62.5% on the first diagnosis)”. New cases are 0.6% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 1.5% and reached 713,115 (88.3% of total cases). The currently positive are 86,268 today, -6.9% compared to yesterday. There are 1,266 hospitalized (29 fewer than yesterday), of which 91 in intensive care (1 more). Today there are 26 new deaths: 17 men and 9 women with an average age of 83.1 years.
The average age of 4,512 new positives today is approximately 38 years (31% are under 20, 22% between 20 and 39, 29% between 40 and 59, 13% between 60 and 79, 5% have 80 years or older). Overall, 85,002 people are in isolation at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care, or are symptom-free (6,339 fewer than yesterday, minus 6.9%). There are 30,737 (3,526 fewer than yesterday, 10.3% less) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people.
PUGLIA – There are 4,952 new coronavirus infections today 11 February in Puglia, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 14 deaths. The new cases, identified through 45,270 swabs carried out, are distributed as follows by province: Bari: 1,332; Bat: 385; Brindisi: 445; Foggia: 827; Lecce: 1,340; Taranto: 578; Residents outside the region: 33; Province in definition: 12. Currently positive people are 100,528, 745 are hospitalized in non-critical areas, 68 are in intensive care. Overall data: 670,456 total cases, 8,235,298 swabs performed, 562,520 people recovered and 7,408 deaths.
ABRUZZO – There are 1,872 new infections from Coronavirus today, 11 February 2022 in Abruzzo, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday there have been 5 deaths which brings the total to 2,869. 3,569 people have been healed since yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 6,111 molecular swabs and 12,867 antigen tests were performed with a positive rate of 9.86%.
There are 508 patients hospitalized in the medical area, 7 fewer since yesterday; 28 those in intensive care. 107,395 people in home isolation. Among the provinces with the highest number of new cases, L’Aquila at 452, Chieti at 542, time.news at 366 and Teramo at 442.
VENETO – There are 6,223 new coronavirus infections today 11 February in Veneto, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 21 deaths. The current positives in the region are 120,575. Patients currently positive in the non-critical area (-174) and those currently positive in intensive care (-20) are decreasing.
BASILICATA – There are 682 new infections from Coronavirus today, 11 February 2022 in Basilicata, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been no deaths since yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 4,390 swabs, both molecular and antigenic, were processed. Since yesterday, 724 healings have been recorded.
The pressure on hospitals is still mounting. The hospitalized for Covid-19 are 105 (+4) of which 7 (+1) in intensive care. Overall, the current positives residing in Basilicata are about 20,100.
As for vaccination, 2,132 administrations were carried out yesterday. So far 465,073 Lucanians have received the first dose of the vaccine (84.1 percent of the population which amounts to 553,254 residents), 429,245 have received the second (77.6 percent) and 321,494 are the third doses (58,1 percent) , for a total of 1,215,812 administrations carried out.
VALLE D’AOSTA – There are 61 coronavirus infections in Valle d’Aosta today, 11 February 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. There are no deaths. The new cases bring the total number of people infected with the virus from the beginning of the epidemic to today to 30,631. The current positives are 2264 of which 2219 in home isolation, 42 hospitalized, three in intensive care.
The total healed are 27,853, an increase of 255 units compared to yesterday. The total cases tested are 126,092, the swabs carried out so far 453,089. The deaths of people tested positive for the virus in Valle d’Aosta from the beginning of the emergency to today are 514.
CAMPANIA – There are 6,592 new infections from Coronavirus today, 11 February 2022 in Campania, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday, 29 deaths have been recorded, of which 12 occurred in the previous days. In the last 24 hours, 51,993 swabs were processed, of which 33,909 were antigenic.
In Campania there are 72 Covid patients, hospitalized in intensive care, and 1,248 Covid patients hospitalized in hospital wards.
EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 5,371 new infections from Coronavirus today, 11 February 2022 in Emilia Romagna, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday, 42 deaths have been recorded for a total of 15,505 victims since the beginning of the pandemic. In the last 24 hours, 43,064 swabs were processed, of which 22,921 rapid antigen tests with a positivity rate of 12.5%. 15,412 people have healed since yesterday.
There are 132 patients currently hospitalized in the intensive care units in Emilia-Romagna, 3 fewer than yesterday. As for the patients hospitalized in the other Covid departments, there are 2,147, 32 less than yesterday.
The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 1,146 new cases, followed by Modena with 779; then Reggio Emilia at 583, Parma at 550, Ravenna at 505 and Ferrara at 497.
Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues. At 3pm today 9,966,149 doses have been administered; of the total 3,733,014 people over 12 who have completed the vaccination cycle, 92.9%. The third doses made are 2,537,788.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA – There are 1,436 new infections from Coronavirus today, 11 February 2022 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday there have been 9 deaths for a total of 4,622 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, 7,098 molecular swabs and 10,695 rapid antigenic tests were processed. There are 41 people admitted to intensive care, while 390 patients are hospitalized in other wards.
