The spring budget is a way of adding or redistributing money to the budget for the current year. It could, for example, cover unforeseen costs within a certain policy area or a reprioritization due to changed conditions.
Some years hardly any targeted efforts are made at all, but this year the spring budget contains investments for SEK 16.8 billion.

The winners in this year’s spring budget are, among other things, the regions to which the government is giving an extra six billion to strengthen healthcare. The correctional service receives 1.4 billion to expand the detention centers and prisons, and the airline industry receives just over a billion to avoid fee increases for the airlines.
The government also gives extra money to, among other things, the school, the civil defense and the reconstruction of the E6 in Stenungsund.
Other groups or authorities that receive extra supplements are the Armed Forces, the school and families with children with housing allowance.
