During a meeting with the members of the Pro México Citizen Security Observatory, Clara Brugada, candidate of the “Let’s Keep Making History” coalition, presented her main proposals on security that he will implement when he reaches the Government of Mexico City.
Brugada highlighted the importance of continuing to work without pause on the issue of security, pointing out that this aspect cannot stop for even a minute.
Upon receiving the welcome, Trinidad Belauzarán, president of the Observatory, praised Brugada’s commitment to security in the city and the collaboration between her team and the organization.
The candidate expressed her impression of the Observatory’s citizen organization, highlighting its work in promoting peace and security in the community. She highlighted the achievements in security in Mexico City, pointing out a significant decrease in high-impact crimes according to official data.
In his speech, Brugada committed to continuing with the security model implemented by the current administration, highlighting the need to deepen the progress made.
He proposed measures such as improving working conditions and benefits for police officers, building a police hospital and launching the 360 Security Viewer, a technological platform for geospatial analysis of complaints and calls to 911.
In addition, he mentioned the importance of citizen participation in the police function, proposing the monthly evaluation of police work in the neighborhoods with the support of the Citizen Security Observatory.
He also announced the creation of one thousand kilometers of safe roads throughout the city to improve street lighting and increase police patrols by quadrant.
Among its notable proposals is the incorporation of technologies such as artificial intelligence, drones and big data to strengthen prevention and combating crime. Likewise, he announced the expansion of video surveillance in the city and special strategies to combat crimes such as extortion.
Brugada emphasized the need to build a culture of peace and combat impunity as a fundamental duty of all prosecutors’ offices. Other candidates from the coalition were also present at the event, who supported Brugada’s proposals on security and highlighted his commitment to citizens.
The meeting concluded with mutual recognition between Brugada and the members of the Citizen Security Observatory, as well as with the commitment to continue working together for the security and well-being of Mexico City.
