The managing director of the Olympic team, Abdul-Jabbar Hashem, confirmed today, Thursday, that players Omar Majbas and Mohamed Haitham suffered an injury while representing their teams in the Premier League competitions.
A statement from the Football Association, which was received by the (INA), quoted Jabbar as saying, “The players’ injuries renewed during training, which necessitated their removal from the national team’s roster for the Asian finals qualifying competitions for the Paris Olympics.”
He added, “After the coaching staff discovered the injury to the players during training, they were presented to the specialist doctor, and the examination revealed that the injury was previous and did not occur during the team’s training, so the coaching staff decided to return them to the homeland.”
Jabbar pointed out, “The coach of the Olympic team, Radhi Shenaishil, had high hopes for the presence of Muhammad Haitham and Omar Majbas in the team, because they are promising talents, and the coach told them that the future is before them, and the doors of the team are open.”
