/ On Saturday, the administration of the Dohuk Club revealed the new, unprecedented decisions that the administrations of Dohuk and Zakho came out with, which concern the fans of the two clubs in any match between the two teams in the Iraqi Stars Football League competitions for the next two years.
Secretary of the Dohuk Club, Jassim Muhammad Haji, told Agency that the two administrations decided that every match between the two teams would be without the away audience, explaining that in today’s match, which will be held in Zakho within the 21st round of the Iraq Stars League, it will be in the presence of Zakho fans only, and in the event that the two teams meet Next season in Dohuk, the match will be attended by Dohuk fans only.
He added that the decision was approved by the management of the two clubs, indicating that the decision was set for two consecutive years and starting from today’s match in the 21st round of the Iraq Stars League.
Haji also pointed out that the decision came exclusively from the management of the two clubs and did not come from political influences or government agencies in the Kurdistan Region, adding: We, as two administrations, seek to preserve the common interests and the spirit of brotherhood between the fans of the two clubs, which are from one governorate.
He stated, “The reason we came out with this bilateral agreement is to avoid the problems that were repeated in every match between the two teams, in addition to the fact that today’s match is stressful and concerned about the fans of Dohuk, especially after the events witnessed in the match between Dohuk and its guest, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in the previous round, and for fear that the situation will be repeated, especially with the sensitivity.” Today’s match is that the two teams are competing for an advanced position in the league.”
He went on to say: Many reasons made us, as two departments, take this decision, which we will begin working on, starting with today’s match, the positive result of which will put the winner in third place, because the two teams are close in points, stressing that today’s match will be very sensitive, as it is a governorate derby, and will witness an intense struggle for third place.
