Amitai Argaman was mortally wounded in the battle in Beit Hanon, Udi Adri, an MDA paramedic and at the time a paramedic in the reserve service, treated him in the field. Three months later they met by chance at the MDA national call center
Amitayi Argaman fought in the reserve service in Gaza, and lost both his legs in the battle in Beit Hanun. At the same time, paramedic MDA Udi Adri from Ashdod was serving in reserve service in the IDF, who evacuated Amitai from the scene of the incident while he was fighting for his life.
This week, Amitai asked to visit the national center of Magen David Adom in Kiryat Ono. Udi had the opportunity to meet at the center, and when Amitti entered the room and introduced himself, Udi realized that Amitti was the wounded man he was treating, and saw him for the first time since that day.
In an emotional meeting, Odi and Amithi talked about that day and closed a circle. Udi says: “I was very excited to meet Amitai. This is the first time I have met a wounded man that I treated in the reserves. Amitai came to us when he was seriously wounded, and we fought for his life. He is a hero.”
Amitai Argman: “We arrived at the MDA and I entered the HML, where I saw Udi. When I told my story, he realized that he had taken care of me in Gaza. I was very excited to meet him.”
