A product recall… quite unprecedented. Pizzas, marketed in Auchan stores and sold throughout France, were pinned by the government website Consumption reminder this Monday. The products are recalled for the possible presence of glass debris in one of the ingredients.

In detail, it is the “queen, goat’s cheese, honey, Alsatian, Franche-Comté and tuna” pizzas that are being recalled. They were distributed by the Auchan hypermarket in Avallon (Yonne) and sold throughout France between April 8 and 12.

Above all, stop eating pizza

These pizzas are recalled for a “possible but unproven presence of glass debris in the ingredient “oregano leaf” present in pizzas made in store”. As a safety measure, it is therefore recommended that customers who have purchased one or more of these pizzas no longer consume them, return the product to the point of sale or destroy it.

Customers affected by the purchase of one of these pizzas may be reimbursed.
