The indigenous community of Tarecuato, in the municipality of Tangamandapio, was the target of an attack with bombs manned by drones, an attack that left no people injured, but which put the population on alert, because in terms of security, “we are bad, we are with fear, we have no choice but to organize,” declared the secretary of the Communal Council, Severiano Manzo.
In a telephone interview he confirmed the attack on the community police facilities, where two bombs exploded.
“Yes, there was an attack, where the communal police are, by means of drones, we don’t know who they were, that happened in the morning, there were two bombs, they exploded, but because of the detonators they were about five meters away,” he indicated.
He emphasized that, “they are not people from the community,” those who perpetrated the attack, but given this, they have no choice but to organize, and although they have nothing to defend themselves with, “if necessary, we are going to defend ourselves with sticks.” and stones, because we have nothing else.”
Not even the council members themselves know the reasons for the attack.
“Unfortunately, I am going to tell you, and it is something that threatens my own freedom, they want control, it has nothing to do with what they sell, they want control of the community, and I say it clearly, I will tell you.” I have told the State Government,” emphasized the secretary of the Tarecuato council.
The community member recognizes the support of Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, in terms of resources, but in security it is not the same, the Civil Guard comes and goes, it is not there permanently.
“The red light is permanent, but there has been no permanent support since the 11 boys were killed,” added the Self-Government Council official.
This Saturday there were no injuries, but it did put the population on alert who, despite the forecast against it, is determined to organize.
