The Panhellenic Road Cycling Championship for Teenagers, Youth, Young Men and Women started in Atalanti with the individual time trial event.
Two of our children managed to stand out, as they were crowned champions of Greece in their categories, confirming their talent in yet another event.
Specifically, Irini Papadimitriou-Stamboris of Rodiliou won the first place in the Junior category and Nikos Drakos of A.O. Theseus was ranked first in the Young Men category.
The relevant announcement issued by the Hellenic Cycling Federation states the following:
“The first day of the Panhellenic Road Championship for Young Men/Women, Teenagers/Girls, organized by the Hellenic Cycling Federation, in collaboration with the Region of Central Greece, the Municipality of Lokron and the A.S. Pan-Erythraean, in the region of Atalanti.
The best were crowned champions of Greece.
In the Women’s category, Eleftheria Yachos of A.S. was crowned champion of Greece. Proteas, in 2nd place Kokkali Vasiliki of PGS Larisa and in 3rd place Maria Irini Karousou of A.S. Nice Saturn.
In the category of Junior Girls, the athlete of Rodilios Irini Papadimitriou-Stamboris was crowned the champion of Greece, 2nd was Niki Frindzila of AEK Tripoli and 3rd was the athlete of PGS Larisa Robotou Georgia.
In the Young Men’s category, Nikos Drakos from the team of Theseus was crowned champion of Greece, 2nd was Nikiforos Arvanitou also from Theseus and 3rd was Ioannis Varotsos from P.O. Patron.
In the Youth category, Efstratios Manolidis of AEK was crowned champion of Greece, Berdebes Kostantinos of A.S. Kronos Nikaia and 3rd Apostolopoulos Konstantinos from the team of A.S. N. Voutza i Proodos”.
