The United States has released a statement on its policy towards the Indo-Pacific region. It said India was currently surrounded by significant geopolitical challenges.

The report underscores the growing cooperation between India and the United States, while sharply targeting China.
The report talks about strengthening the US position in the Indo-Pacific region and its regional leadership with India’s strong support.
The statement was tweeted by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
“Our Indo-Pacific strategy has a vision for an independent, unrestricted, connected, prosperous, secure and resilient region. As a country in the Indo-Pacific region, we are committed to working with our partners to realize that vision.”
“The United States and India will work together to improve stability in South Asia and continue to develop strategic cooperation through regional committees,” the White House said.
“At the same time we are cooperating in new areas such as health, space and cyberspace. We are deepening our economic and technological cooperation and working to maintain an independent, unrestricted Indo-Pacific region.”
The United States has said in a statement that India is a like-minded ally.
