The European Union condemned Iran’s attack on Israel. The head of the EU diplomatic service, Josep Borrell, made a corresponding statement.

“The EU strongly condemns Iran’s unacceptable attack on Israel,” he wrote on his page on the social network X, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.

Borrell added that “this is an unprecedented escalation and a serious threat to regional security.”

EU President Charles Michel also wrote about the need to “avoid even more bloodshed.” According to him, the EU will continue to “closely monitor the developments of the situation” in the region together with its partners.

In addition to the European Union, Iran’s attack on Israel has already been condemned by the United States, Great Britain, France, Austria, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, Iran launched dozens of drones towards Israel in response to the Israeli air force attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus on April 1.
