The editors of the AndroidInsider portal have compiled a selection of four failed Redmi smartphones that are not recommended for purchase.
The anti-rating opens with the cheap Redmi A3, which has an external resemblance to the expensive Xiaomi 13 Ultra. However, the smartphone cannot boast of powerful cameras – it uses a main sensor of only 8 megapixels, complemented by a depth sensor with a resolution of 0.08 megapixels. The key drawback of the device is the weak MediaTek Helio G36 chip. Instead, Redmi recommends taking a closer look at the cheaper and more powerful Realme Note 50.
Second place went to the Redmi 13C, which offers a dim IPS screen with only HD+ resolution, a not-so-performing Helio G85 processor, and slow eMMC 5.1 memory. At a lower price, Poco M5 or the old Redmi 10C offer better specifications.
The Redmi Note 13 5G also turned out to be a controversial device with the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor, which is an old and renamed Dimensity 810 chip comparable to the Helio G99. Instead of this smartphone, experts recommend paying attention to the Poco M6 Pro.
The selection closes with the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G with a “useless camera” of 200 MP, as AndroidInsider writes. The Helio G99 chip used in the smartphone differs little from the Snapdragon 732G in the old Redmi Note 10 Pro. In addition, a weak processor is not able to unleash the full potential of a camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels. Instead of the model, it is recommended to buy the Samsung Galaxy A54 or Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G or Poco M6 Pro, which is a cheap analogue of Redmi with a simplified camera.
