Xiaomi launched its new TV Xiaomi TV S75. This is a TV with a 75-inch miniLED screen with a 4K resolution, a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and a nice refresh rate of 144 Hz which is divided into 512 backlight zones which, according to the company, is also designed to support modern games.
The panel supports color accuracy at the level of Delta E < 2 in factory calibration, and it offers 94% support in the DCI-P3 color space. There is also support for Dolby Vision and iMax Enhanced. In addition, the TV offers a fast refresh rate of 240 Hz in a dedicated mode for sports broadcasts, but probably at the expense of resolution, in combination with MEMC technology that should help improve the display of movements on the screen through a dynamic compensation mechanism.
The computing hardware of the Xiaomi TV S75 is based on a processor that consists of four Coprtex-A73 cores with 4 gigabytes of working memory and 64 gigabytes of storage memory, part of which is dedicated to maintaining the HyperOS operating system – which, as the company promised, is combined with appropriate changes in everything that the company offers today .
The TV also comes with 4 speakers, support for Dolby Atmos and connectivity based on a WiFi 6 connection. There are two HDMI 2.1 connections with VRR support, a USB 3.0 connection and a local network connection. Yes it supports Freesync with a claimed latency of up to 4 milliseconds.
The television began to be sold in China at a relatively affordable price of about 635 dollars and, as is almost always the case, it is not yet clear whether it will reach a global launch.
