The final exhibition of the Republican art competition “Baharın Rəngləri” (Colors of Spring) will be held at the Khatai Arts Center in Baku on April 13 at 15:30, organizers told Day.Az.
The competition is held within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World” announced in Azerbaijan with the organization of the Azerbaijan State Art Gallery and the Khatai Arts Center, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC, the Executive Power of Khatai district, Union of Artists of Azerbaijan.
The goal of the project is to stimulate the creative activity of children, adolescents and youth, and develop their artistic taste.
As part of the competition, more than 700 children, teenagers and youth aged from 10 to 21 years old, in groups of 15 people, took part in plein airs at the Khatai Arts Center. During the plein air sessions, the contestants created artistic works with watercolors on the theme “Spring”.
The selection committee included representatives of the Azerbaijan Academy of Arts, the State Art Gallery and the Khatai Arts Center, among them Elchin Huseynov, Jalal Agayev, Subkhan Mamedov, Zahid Avazov and Gunduz Habibov.
