Motorcycle GP. Viñales wins GP of the Americas

Viñales, who started from pole position and had already won the sprint race, completed the 20 laps in 41.09.503 minutes, leaving rookie Pedro Acosta (GasGas) in second place, 1.728 seconds behind, with Italian Enea Bastianini (Ducati ) in third, at 2.703.

Portuguese Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) finished 11th, after having to make two recoveries. The driver from Almada started badly again, falling from 14th to 17th in the first lap.

The Portuguese driver was already 13th on the fifth lap, but, on the eighth, he lost positions again, dropping to 17th again.

From that point on, he began a recovery, which culminated in 11th place, 18.542 seconds behind the winner.

Maverick Viñales’ race was also all about recovery, as he failed to start and brake for the first corner, dropping from first to 11th place.

Jorge Martin would end up in fourth place, but maintained command of the championship, with 80 points, against Bastianini’s 59 and Viñales’ 56, who rose from eighth to third.

Miguel Oliveira is 14th, with 13 points.

The next round, the fourth, is the Spanish GP, in Jerez de la Frontera, from April 26th to 28th.
