The study analyzed the prices of 155 products, including special foods typical of the holiday, such as matzah, Easter cookies, as well as cleaning supplies and other products that are purchased in large quantities before the holiday (for example, meat, fish, poultry , fruits and vegetables). It turned out that compared to last week, the food basket for Passover increased in price by 0.5 percent.

The results of the study showed that the cheapest network is Rami Levy, and the most expensive is AM:PM. The difference between them was 35 percent (approximately 1,002 shekels).

Israelis are advised to shop early to avoid rising prices as the holiday approaches. It is necessary to compare prices between networks and brands, and, if possible, “split” purchases into parts.

This is the third check. The Consumer Protection Council noted that the fight against the rising cost of living in Israel largely depends on the consumers themselves.

“Cursor” wrote earlier that the German company Henkel announced that starting next month it will increase the cost of its goods by 20 percent.
