1431 year day counting started in Bengali calendar. The biggest festival to celebrate the first day of the new year is held at Ramna Botmul in the capital. People of all classes and professions, regardless of religion, caste, caste, rich or poor, took part in this festival which started at 6:30 am. This event of Payala Baisakh turns into a colorful festival.

People attending the festival say that a new year means new possibilities. On Sunday (April 14), the gathering of people from different parts of the capital began at Ramna’s Botmul before dawn. At 6:30 in the morning, this year’s New Year’s program started with the music of Ahir Bhairav ​​raga. More than a hundred artists of the cultural institution Chayanot welcomed the new year by singing together. People from all walks of life welcomed the new year by shedding old wear and tear.

By 6:30 in the morning, Ramana Udyan was thronged with people. On the first day of the year, red and white were predominant in many people’s clothes. Women are dressed in red and white sarees, glass bangles, dul-malas. The men are adorned with the same color-patterned Punjabi. Many have a red-green national flag print band on their heads. They attended Ramana Botmul Chayanot’s morning program song, poetry session.

The theme of this program is the celebration of people and humanity. The motivation to love people and build yourself as a worthwhile person is given in tune. At the dawn of the new year, Bengalis are told to fear, ‘No fear, ho ho ho jai….’

The whole ceremony of Chhaynat is arranged in a new soft light with songs of nature, love of humanity and patriotism and awakening of self-awareness. This year there were 11 collective songs, 15 solo songs, readings and recitals.

This New Year program is live broadcasted by different public and private television channels, Bangladesh Betar and YouTube channels.

The entire Ramana Park area was covered with security blankets around the New Year celebrations. Police and RAB control rooms were installed. Entrance and exit are separate.
