This shows ancient artifacts and how they influence today. These pieces have various provenances: some were already guarded by the UPB College and others were voluntarily handed over by the Trujillo Arango family, through priest Vicente Grisales. In the same way, other deliveries were made by Edgar Jaime Isaza, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture, received by Rodrigo Puyo.

These pieces had to go through a process in which two entities external to the university intervened. Paola Vélez, coordinator of the UPB Heritage Management Process, states:

“For an archaeological piece to become a formal part of the UPB collection, it has to go through the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History, in charge of safeguarding and managing the national archaeological heritage, which requests a technical sheet of the piece in question, detailing their age, origin, type of material, dimensions, the culture to which they belong, among other characteristics.”

At the same time, the Sipah Corporation also intervenes in this process, the entity in charge of research, management and promotion of the country’s natural and socio-cultural environment, hired by the university to identify the corresponding pieces and create the files. techniques.
