Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, State Minister of Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment has urged recruiting agencies to be humane in sending workers abroad.

The State Minister made this call on Tuesday (April 16) in the conference room of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment in a discussion meeting regarding the minimum salary and allowances of Bangladeshi workers working abroad and other issues.

The state minister said that the recruiting agency must consider the humanitarian aspect while sending workers abroad. Considering that Bangladesh’s image abroad should be brighter, everyone should be more proactive in sending skilled workers.

The state minister informed the main stakeholders of the ministry that you will send logical proposals regarding the minimum salary structure of Bangladeshi workers in different countries. Ministry will take effective decision regarding minimum salary. We also want to send workers at lower immigration costs.

He said that Bayra should work with the ministry to earn foreign exchange by sending workers abroad. The Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment and its stakeholders will work together to enhance the reputation of the Ministry. With the collective efforts of all, we can quickly build a smart ministry.

The state minister said that the prime minister has given instructions to send skilled workers. For this purpose, arrangements are being made to install modern and up-to-date equipment in our technical training centers.
