The former famous West German player wore the shirt of Eintracht Frankfurt for 14 years – from 1967 to 1981. In total, the football player played 524 matches in all possible tournaments and championships.

B.Holzenbein won the UEFA Cup with the Eintracht club and also held the German Cup three times. After finishing his playing career in 1986, he did not stay away from the team and worked in Frankfurt “Eintracht” team as a vice president, and later as a club scout.

The German also played for American Fort Lauderdale Strikers and German teams Salmrohr and Rhein-Main.

B. Holzenbein represented the German national football team for five years – from 1973 to 1978 and played 40 matches. With the national team, he became the world champion in Germany in 1974. Then the West German national team beat the Netherlands 2:1 in the final.

Then the football player made history as the oldest player in the final match of the European Championship – the German was 30 years and 103 days old in the decisive match of the championship against the Czechoslovak national team at the Crvena zvezda stadium in Belgrade.
