Fabio Fognini he took a big risk. The Italian tennis player was the protagonist of a borderline gesture, which could have even cost him disqualification and the early conclusion of a match. After an error that cost him the first set against De Loore in the Oeiras challenger in Portugalthe Ligurian let off steam by throwing a ball away which almost hit a famous person present in the stands.

Seeded number one in the draw, Fognini challenged the Belgian De Loore in the round of 32. After losing a bad first set, Fabio made a gesture of annoyance to underline his bad moment. In fact, after having recovered the ball when the game was over, he hit it with his racket, as players usually do to celebrate the victory. An off-field attempt which, however, was not such. In fact, Fognini himself he miscalculated the intensity of the conclusion, with the ball ending up dangerously touching someone in the highest areas of the grandstand.
The well-known journalist Morgado in fact explained what happened: the ball sent away by Fognini was a serious risk to hit the president of the Portuguese Federation on the head, present in the stands to enjoy the show. A sigh of relief both for the authorities and for Fognini himself. The latter promptly apologized to the people present, raising his hands several times, even with a smile.
