During this meeting, the two parties reviewed the parliamentary experiences in the two countries, indicates a press release from the House of Advisors, noting that the Jordanian delegation expressed its desire to benefit from the Moroccan experience in the wake ongoing reforms in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
They also discussed the fundamental functions of the two legislative institutions, particularly with regard to the development of human rights and the promotion of the constitutional, legal and institutional system.
In this context, Mr. Mknif, accompanied by two parliamentary advisors, Salima Zidani and Zahra Mohsen, gave explanations to the Jordanian delegation on the status of the commission within the Moroccan parliamentary system and on its important role, given that its Presidency is entrusted to the opposition in recognition of its role in legislation, control and evaluation of public policies.
Mr. Mknif, at the same time, emphasized the pioneering role that this commission plays within the House of Advisors and its significant contribution to the legislative dynamic for the strengthening of the national legal arsenal, in particular the system of national justice, as part of the constant efforts aimed at the consecration of the rule of law in our country in accordance with constitutional provisions, taking into account international standards in this area.
For its part, the Jordanian delegation welcomed the Moroccan experience in partisan pluralism on the path to the consolidation of democratic choice, qualifying it as a model to follow.
The Jordanian parliamentary delegation included, in addition to its president Haitam Ziadin, deputies Mohamad Jaradat, Saleh Al-Wakhyan, Ramzi Al-Ajarmah, Mohamad Al-Hilalat, Fisent Basbous, Suleiman Al-Qallab Al-Amoush, Habes Al-Shabib, Aref Al -Saaida Al-Abadi and Mohamad Al-Marayat.
