Many films are made in Bollywood every year. But if we talk about thriller films, then only selected producers try their luck in this field. Although thriller films have their own audience on OTT, both the films of Ajay Devgan’s much-talked about thriller ‘Drishyam’ franchise were superhits in theaters as well. Manoj Bajpayee starrer crime thriller ‘Silence’, which was released directly on OTT, got a good response from the audience, due to which the makers have made its sequel ‘Silence 2’. Of course, making a sequel to a direct OTT release film is still considered a big deal.
Story of ‘Silence 2’
The story of the film ‘Silence 2’ begins from where the first one ended. The only difference is that this time the Special Crime Unit team has got a new case. ACP Avinash Verma (Manoj Bajpayee) is tasked with investigating a shootout that takes place at midnight in a night club. Actually, a high profile minister’s staff was murdered on the spot, due to which ACP Verma’s team gets the investigation of this case. But when he gets to the bottom of the matter, different things emerge.
During the investigation, the case reaches a gang that forces teenage girls into prostitution. ACP Verma along with Inspector Sanjana (Prachi Desai) and other team colleagues reach Rajasthan from Mumbai, unraveling all the layers of the case, but here they find the matter getting more complicated. To know the story beyond this, you will have to watch the film.

‘Silence 2’ Movie Review
The film’s director and scriptwriter Aban Bharucha Devhans last time surprised thriller lovers with ‘Silence’. But this time he has made a film on a story with a bigger canvas. The story of the film seems interesting from the beginning and then keeps you engaged till the climax. Although the film of about two and a quarter hours seems to wander a bit at some places in terms of writing and screenplay, but then soon comes back on track.
Some characters of the film haunt you till later. Despite this, this film entertains you as a crime thriller. The special thing is that Aban also tries to give an important social message through this film which is influenced by true events.
Talking about the actors, Manoj Bajpayee has once again done a brilliant acting job. He looks amazing especially in angry scenes. Prachi Desai also looks good on screen. The rest of the actors of the film have also done a good job. The cinematography and background score of the film is also fine.
