The artistic and cultural communities of Azcapotzalco They gathered yesterday to support the candidate of Morena to the Alcaldía from Azcapotzalco, Nancy Núñezheading to the elections on June 2.

During the thematic Forum, the cultural community of the district supported Nancy Núñez’s project: making the mayor’s office a cultural pole in the City.

In this regard, Nancy Núñez indicated her commitment to rescuing this sector, since Azcapotzalco has to advance in the revaluation of the historical tradition of its original towns and neighborhoods: “We will make Azcapotzalco the cultural pole of the north of Mexico City,” she stated.

Likewise, the chintolola candidate said that culture and art must stop being seen as a commodity or business, so activities that allow access to it must be promoted and guaranteed free of charge.

“The right seeks for culture to be paid for or for a few, we seek to promote it, and for it to be for everyone,” said the candidate for mayor of Azcapotzalco.

The event was joined by figures from culture and the arts in Azcapotzalco, such as Victor Fernández and Carolina García from the Azcapotzalco Cultural Network, América Valencia Rodríguez, representative of the Commission of mothers and fathers of the Azcapotzalco Children’s and Youth Symphony Orchestra, José Miguel Olvera Coria, musician and director of the Mary Jane Cultural Forum, Patricio Garibay, director of the Club Sándwich Theater Company, Roberto Ortiz, president of the Society of Chroniclers of Azcapotzalco, among other prominent participants who joined the claim for the lack of support of the current administration in the mayor’s office.
