SBS Connection

On the 18th, SBS’ new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Connection’ (written by Lee Hyun/directed by Kim Moon-kyo) revealed the script reading site.

‘Connection’ is an ‘addiction chase suspense’ drama in which a detective from the drug team, Ace, who was forcibly addicted to drugs by someone, uses the death of his friend as a clue to uncover the full story of the connection and the deteriorating friendship that lasted for 20 years.

‘Connection’ delves into the unconventional subject matter of ‘the story of a narcotics detective addicted to drugs’ from a unique perspective. The ‘script reading’ scene where all the main actors of ‘Connection’ gathered together was presented, attracting attention. The script reading, which opened with actor Ji Sung’s shout, “Let’s make a really fun drama,” was held in great heat thanks to the actors’ passionate passion.

First, Ji Sung, who plays the role of Inspector Jang Jae-kyung of the narcotics team at Anhyeon Police Station, who receives the respect of juniors and the trust of seniors within the police, proved his ‘excellent’ aura every time he read each line. Ji-sung showed off his charismatic tone when confronting the criminal, but in the scene where he was addicted to drugs, he gave a goosebumps-filled performance, pouring out confused emotions with irregular breathing. Jeon Mi-do performed the role of Oh Yun-jin, a reporter with a self-assertive Joan of Arc personality and a lot of ‘chirari’ temperament, going between fiery vocalizations and sly acting.

In addition, Kwon Yul, who plays the role of Park Tae-jin, a prosecutor at the Anhyeon Branch Office, showed a sharp and cool-headed transformation, breaking away from the quirky and lively side he has shown in entertainment shows. Kwon Yul, who wears glasses, shines a close image with Park Tae-jin, who is known as the brain among his friends, and at the same time, his calm but cool-headed tone of dialogue has raised interest in his life character, Gyeong-shin.

Kim Kyung-nam, who played the role of Won Jong-su, the vice president of the mold group with money and power, transformed into a villain. Kim Kyung-nam caught the eye by showing off his overwhelming force and impatience that showed through his flexible diction, presenting a new format for a villain. Lastly, Jeong Soon-won, who plays Heo Joo-song, CEO of Two Star Holdings, gave a cheerful and friendly performance that highlighted her human charm in a breathtaking story.

The production team said, “‘Connection’ is a drama that is the perfect combination of ‘well-made’ dramas that contain all of the quality, timeliness, and message.” They added, “We hope that ‘Connection’ will engrave the success formula of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama genre drama by conducting a ‘script reading’.” “I was sure it was a drama, so I ask for your support until the day it first airs in May.”
