Iranian Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri said, “Our attack has ended and we do not wish to continue it, but we will respond more forcefully if Israel targets our interests.”
Bagheri added: “Israel crossed red lines by targeting our consulate in Syria, and it had to be responded to. If Washington participates in any attack against us, its bases in the region will not be safe.”
In turn, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Major General Hossein Salami, said: “We have adopted a new equation with the Zionist entity, which is to respond to any aggression on its part directly from Iranian territory.”
Salami added: “Our operations were very precise and limited, and we could have launched a large operation, but we identified specific targets and struck the sites that were the starting point for targeting our consulate in Syria.”
Salami said: “Our operation was more successful than expected, and the Zionist entity must learn the lesson from what happened, and if it responds, our next operation will certainly be much greater.”
For his part, the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Muhammad Baqer Qalibaf, confirmed that “the Iranian people dealt the Zionist enemy a strong blow,” noting that “if another mistake occurs on the part of the Zionist entity or its allies, the Iranian response will be more severe.”
Qalibaf said: “The slap that the Iranian people directed at the Zionist enemy was strong and contains a lesson.”
He explained, “The military action carried out by Iran is a response to the Zionist entity’s aggression against our country’s diplomatic sites.”
