Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to increase the price of gold again. This time the price has increased to a maximum of 2 thousand 65 taka per load. As a result, the price of one bar of good quality i.e. 22 carat gold will be Tk 1 lakh 19 thousand 638, which is the highest so far. On Thursday afternoon, gold was sold at Tk 1 lakh 17 thousand 573 per load.
This information was informed in the press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Bajus Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee on Thursday (April 18). Earlier, Bajus had increased the price of gold on April 8.
According to Bajus, the price of acidic gold has increased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The notification informed that the new prices will be effective from 7 pm on Thursday.
According to the new prices, the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) is Tk 1 lakh 19,638, 21 carat gold is Tk 114,202, 18 carat is Tk 97,884 and conventional gold is Tk 78. It will be sold for 801 thousand rupees.
While the price of gold has increased, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, the price of 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, the price of 18 carat is 1 thousand 715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
On Thursday (April 18) morning, the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) was Tk 1 lakh 17 thousand 573, 21 carat gold was Tk 1 lakh 12 thousand 208, 18 carat gold was Tk 96 thousand 228 and traditional method Gold was sold for 80 thousand 190 taka.
