Fedor Shvedov was accused according to Art. 361-2 of the Criminal Code (“Financing of the activities of an extremist organization”). Judge Vital Kulesh sentenced Shvedav to three and a half years of imprisonment, “Viasna” reported. However, human rights activists later gave updated information that Shvedov received three and a half years of restriction of freedom, the so-called “chemistry”, and that he was released in the courtroom.
As propagandists reported, the man donated 52 rubles 88 kopecks to the “Honest People” initiative, 26 rubles 7 kopecks to the “Belarusian Council of Culture” initiative, and another 26 rubles 20 kopecks to the ByHelp fund.
At the trial, the Swedes admitted their guilt in part. He explained that “he did not intend to transfer money to extremist organizations, but transferred the money for charitable purposes to help pay fines, lawyers’ services, and medicines to people who participated in protest actions.”

The trial began on April 15. It is not known exactly when Fedor was detained. Human rights activists “Viasny” and the state agency BelTA reported on this process.
According to the version of the accusation published by the state media, from December 2020 to March 2021, Fedor Shvedov, using a current account and payment card issued in his name at JSC SberBank, as well as a mobile phone, transferred funds to the bank accounts of “representatives of extremist formations”.
In court, Shvedov was kept in handcuffs, despite the fact that he was already in a cage. This is a special form of abuse of political prisoners during the Lukashenka regime.
