Uttar Pradesh
In the first phase, voting was held in eight seats of Uttar Pradesh. Till 5 pm, maximum voting took place in Saharanpur seat at 63.29% and lowest at 52.42% in Rampur seat. In 2019, among these seats, Saharanpur had the highest voting percentage at 70.87% and Rampur Lok Sabha seat had the lowest voting percentage at 63.19%. In the last elections, out of these eight seats, BJP and BSP had won three and SP had won two.
Uttarakhand
In the first phase, voting was held in all five seats of Uttarakhand. Till 5 pm, maximum voting took place in Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar seat at 59.36% and lowest at 44.43% in Almora seat. In 2019, among these seats, the highest turnout was in Haridwar at 69.18% and the lowest was in Almora at 52.31%. In the last elections, BJP had won all the five seats.
Madhya Pradesh
Among the 102 seats for which voting took place in the first phase, six seats of Madhya Pradesh are included. Till 5 pm, maximum voting took place in Chhindwara seat at 73.85% and lowest at 51.24% in Sidhi seat. In 2019, among these seats, Chhindwara had the highest voting percentage at 82.42% and Jabalpur had the lowest voting percentage at 69.46%. In the last elections, five of these seats went to BJP and one to Congress.
Rajasthan
Of the 102 seats for which voting took place in the first phase, 12 seats from Rajasthan are included. Till 5 pm, maximum voting took place in Ganganagar seat at 60.29% and lowest at 42.53% in Karauli Dholpur seat. In 2019, among these seats, Ganganagar had the highest voting percentage at 74.77% and Karauli Dholpur had the lowest voting percentage at 55.18%. In the last elections, out of these 12 seats, BJP had won 11 seats and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party had won one seat. In 2019, Hanuman Beniwal of Rashtriya Loktantrik Party contested with the support of BJP and won. This time Beniwal has the support of Congress.
Bihar
Four seats of Bihar are included in the 102 seats on which voting took place in the first phase. Till 5 pm, maximum voting took place in Aurangabad seat at 49.95% and lowest at 40.2% in Nabada seat. In 2019, among these seats, Gaya had the highest voting percentage of 56.18% and Nabadada had the lowest voting percentage of 49.73%. In the last elections, LJP had won two of these seats and BJP and JDU had won one seat each.
What is the situation in other states?
Apart from this, among the 102 seats on which voting took place in the first phase, all 39 seats of Tamil Nadu, five of Maharashtra, four of Assam, three of West Bengal, two each of Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Tripura. One seat each is included.
In 2019, DMK and its allies won 38 out of 39 seats in Tamil Nadu. Of these, 24 seats were won by DMK. Another seat was won by AIADMK. Of the five seats in Maharashtra, BJP won three and Shiv Sena and Congress won one each. Out of four seats in Assam, BJP won three and Congress won one. In the last elections, BJP had won all the three seats of West Bengal. Of the two seats in Manipur, one was won by BJP and one by Naga People’s Front. In 2019, BJP had won both the seats of Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from this, Congress had won one seat in Chhattisgarh, Mizo National Front in Mizoram and BJP had won one seat in Tripura.
How much voting took place on 102 seats last time?
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, a total of 69.96% voting took place on these 102 seats. Among these seats, the highest voting took place in Arunachal East seat of Arunachal Pradesh. 87.03% voters here had exercised their franchise. At the same time, the lowest voting took place in Nawada seat of Bihar. Only 49.73% voters here had cast their vote.
