In the outgoing week (April 15 to 18) in the country’s capital market, the indices traded in a downward trend. During the discussion period, the amount of money traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) decreased but Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) increased. However, the market capitalization of both the stock exchanges increased by more than 44 thousand 37 crore rupees in the outgoing week.
This information was revealed on the basis of DSE’s weekly market review on Saturday (April 20).
1 thousand 912 crore 81 lakh 40 thousand taka was traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in the last week. And in the week before the farewell week, 2 thousand 174 crores 20 lakhs 10 thousand rupees were traded. That is, the transaction in DSE has decreased by 261 crore 38 lakh 70 thousand taka in the span of a week.
On the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 6 thousand 325 crore 10 lakh taka. And on the last working day of the week before the farewell week, the market capitalization of DSE was Tk 6 lakh 84 thousand 734 crore 90 lakh. That is, the market capital has increased by 21 thousand 590 crores 20 lakhs in a week.
During the week, DSE’s main index DSEX fell by 177.40 points or 3.03 percent to 5,686 points. Among the other indices, DSE Shariah index decreased by 35.74 points or 2.79 percent to 1 thousand 246 points, DSE-30 index decreased by 47.81 points or 2.35 percent to 1 thousand 984 points and DSE SME index decreased by 145.28 points or 8. 02 percent decreased to 1665 points.
A total of 395 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE in the outgoing week. Among the companies, 89 increased, 285 decreased, and 21 remained unchanged. And 17 were not traded.
Another capital market, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), traded Tk 48.59 million in the outgoing week. And 16 crore 11 lakh was traded in the week before the farewell week. That is, the transaction in DSE has increased by Tk 32 crore 48 lakh within a week.
On the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 36 thousand 618 crore 16 lakh taka. And on the last working day of the week before the farewell week, the market capitalization of CSE was Tk 7 lakh 14 thousand 171 crore 23 lakh. in money That is, the market capital has increased by 22 thousand 446 crores 93 lakhs within a week.
During the week, the overall index of CSE CASPI decreased by 489 points or 2.92 percent to 16 thousand 244 points. Among other indices of CSE, CSCX decreased by 2.90 percent to 9,766 points, CSE-30 index decreased by 2.52 percent to 12,453 points and CSI index decreased by 1.99 percent to 1,068 points.
A total of 301 shares and units of companies participated in trading on CSE in the outgoing week. Among the companies, 61 advanced, 211 declined and 29 were unchanged.
