Artificial islands will be created in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

As Day.Az reported on Tuesday, during the discussion in parliament of the bill “On the creation of artificial land plots in the part of the Caspian Sea (lake) belonging to the Republic of Azerbaijan,” the head of the apparatus of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Rashad Ismailov said that this bill will fully cover the activities associated with the creation of artificial islands.

According to him, work on the artificial island will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Urban Planning and Construction Code.

It should be noted that the bill defines the forms of creating artificial land plots in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. According to the project, an artificial land plot can be created in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea on a plot allocated from the lands of the water fund, separate from or adjacent to the coastal strip, island or other artificial land plot.

In this case, an artificial land plot refers to a land plot created in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea by delivering and filling earth or soil or using other methods.
