Statcounter analysts have updated the ranking of the most popular browsers, adding data for March 2024.
As Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru, according to the infographics, Google Chrome continues to hold the leading position among desktop browsers, occupying 65.77% of the market.
Microsoft Edge maintains second place with a score of 12.7%, and Apple’s Safari browser rounds out the top three with 8.63%. The fourth and fifth places went to Firefox and Opera, which have 6.61% and 3.16% market share, respectively.
In the mobile browser segment, Google Chrome also leads with a share of 65.29%, while Apple Safari and Samsung Internet are second and third respectively with 24.26% and 4.41%. In fourth and fifth places are Opera and UC Browser with shares of 2.2% and 1.44%.
Microsoft Edge has only 0.3% of the mobile market, but the company is actively working to introduce extension support for the mobile version, which could potentially help improve its position in the future. In addition, Microsoft is actively adding its AI products, for example, the Copilot assistant, to its proprietary browser.
