The popular series “Narcos: México” on the Netflix platform is in the news these days both because of the curiosity that exists about its release date, and because it has two Cubans in its cast: the actress, model and singer Yessica Borroto; and the actor Alberto Guerra.
The most recent acquisition of the well-known series was the Cuban Yessica Borroto, who reported from her Twitter account, through the magazine “Deadline”, about her participation in this third installment of Narcos, giving life to the character Marta.
Borroto has always stood out for his afro look and was part of the Chanel show, under the eyes of Karl Lagerfeld, but he has also worked with international brands such as Brownsshoes, Lambertz, IANN Dey, Puma and Chanel; and the Cuban brands of Jacqueline Fumero and Clandestina.
A few days ago, the participation in the third installment of “Narcos” by Alberto Guerra, a Cuban actor living in Mexico, was also in the news, seen in both series and films, the most recent being: “The Lord of the Skies” (2018 -2020), “History of a crime” (2019) and “The pack” (2020).
Parallel to the Cuban artists, the incorporation of the renowned trap singer Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, popularly famous as Bad Bunny, drew a lot of attention.
It happens that both Alberto Guerra and Bad Bunny will be involved in a plot that will focus on the story of drug trafficker Mayo Zambada and the Arellano Félix cartel. The Cuban-Mexican will play Mayo Zambada, while the singer will play the character of Arturo “Kitty” Páez, a member of the Arellano Félix band.
Guerra will show how Zambado became the drug trafficker he is today, in addition to being one of the most wanted men worldwide, and currently being one of the icons in criminal and drug trafficking history.
For his part, Bad Bunny will make his debut on the small screen as an actor in this third season of “Narcos: México” which, according to what has been reported, will be set in the nineties, when the drug business is globalized and will expose the war that explodes after the breakup of Felix’s empire.
