Clara de Tezanos is recognized in the artistic field as a multidisciplinary creator. In 2009, co-founded the La Fototeca Contemporary Photography Center and the GuatePhoto International Photography Festival, establishing himself as an influential figure in the Guatemalan cultural scene. For over ten years she has shared her knowledge with the arts community as a director, curator and educator.
With an impressive career, De Tezanos has been internationally recognized for her work. Her books “Piedra-Padre, Universo” and “Por Maniobras de un Terceto”, edited by Alejandro Cartagena, have been shortlisted in notable competitions such as the Aperture & Paris Photo First Book Award 18 and the Rencontres d’Arles 2020 Book Award . Additionally, she has participated in important art fairs around the world, from Zona Maco in Mexico City to Art Paris in the French capital.
