AS Roma and star striker Romelu Lukaku will probably go their separate ways after the season.
As the “Gazzetta dello Sport” reports, it will not be possible to secure a permanent commitment for the Belgian, who is currently on loan. The Giallorossi cannot afford the 43 million euros demanded by Chelsea FC.
According to “transfermarkt.at”, Lukaku’s market value is estimated at 30 million euros. The Belgian national team’s record goalscorer, who will turn 31 in May, is said to have no future in London either. The “Blues” are dependent on sales in the summer for financial fair play reasons; if there are no offers, the transfer fee for Lukaku would probably have to be reduced.
The striker found his old form in Rome: in 41 appearances he scored 18 goals and added four more. Head coach Daniele de Rossi would like to keep his star at the club longer.
