The joint delegation, accompanied by the Ambassador of His Majesty the King to Burkina Faso, Mr. Youssef Slaoui, was received on Monday by Mr. Boubakar Savadogo, Burkinabe Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment for a opening session of this mission.
On this occasion, the Burkinabe minister welcomed the presence of the Moroccan delegation in Burkina Faso in response to the invitation sent to him following his working visit to Morocco last November.
He emphasized the strategic nature given by the country’s high authorities for the success of the diagnostic project of the training system in priority professions for Burkina Faso on the basis of exchanges of experiences.
For his part, Mr. Slaoui considered that the deployment of this mission in Burkina Faso is a sign of vitality and density of cooperative relations between the two countries in all areas of common interest.
To illustrate his remarks, he recalled the holding in Dakhla, on June 9, 2023, of the 4th session of the Joint Cooperation Commission, which saw the signing of Protocols of Agreement in the different areas of training, which allowed to expand the bilateral legal framework.
Also, the Moroccan diplomat expressed the Kingdom’s availability to continue supporting this structuring project in Burkina Faso within the framework of South-South, supportive and mutually beneficial cooperation.
The representatives of the OFPPT presented, for their part, the Office and its leadership role played on the African level for the promotion of a benchmark South-South cooperation, highlighting the High Guidelines of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, may God help him, which reflect the particular interest given to Vocational Training as a strategic lever of economic competitiveness and a promising path for the professional integration of youth, as evidenced by the establishment of Cities Trades and Skills which constitute new generation professional training establishments serving excellence and innovation.
They thus reiterated the desire of the Kingdom of Morocco to support the efforts deployed by the Burkinabè authorities responsible for Professional Training, particularly via the training component of trainers and technical-pedagogical staff, support for the engineering of new training sectors , the twinning of establishments with a similar vocation to ensure greater proximity and availability of qualified resources in the country, ensuring the necessary support by the OFPPT according to the specific needs of Burkina Faso.
It should be noted that Morocco and Burkina Faso are part of the African Alliance for the Development of Vocational Training, launched in Meknes on April 18, 2017, and which brings together 20 countries.
