In response to citizen requests made by residents of Zumpango, the candidate for Senator for the Strength and Heart Coalition for Mexico, Enrique Vargas del Villar, assured that the emblematic lagoon of this Mexican municipality will be recovered and to do so he will request an investigation. in which international organizations participate, to help determine the reason why this body of water is completely dry.
He mentioned that there are versions that point to the federal government as responsible for this situation given the proximity of the lagoon to the Felipe Ángeles airport.

He specified that the lagoon attracts birds and they cannot be around an airport, a situation that has raised doubts among the inhabitants of Zumpango who consider that it is the reason why this reservoir is dry.
Enrique Vargas recalled that a few years ago the Zumpango lagoon was a great tourist attraction, where commerce was a source of income for families in the region.
After pointing out that the cancellation of the airport in Texcoco was a disgrace because billions of pesos were wasted, the Alliance candidate assured that on June 2 there will be a great challenge: defending Mexico and the country’s democracy.
