Chennai: On the eve of Valentine’s Day, the sale of various roses at the Chennai Coimbatore Flower Market has weeded out.
Valentine’s Day is to be celebrated worldwide tomorrow. In this situation, a large number of roses have been brought from Hosur to the Coimbatore market. While an average of 5 to 7 tonnes of roses are brought in on regular days, 10 tonnes of roses are currently unloaded at the Coimbatore market.
The price of flowers has also increased significantly compared to last week. At present, a bouquet of 20 Taj Mahal roses sells for between 350 and 400 rupees. Nobles Pink Rose sells for 380 to 400 rupees and Rockstar Orange Rose for 350 to 400 rupees. Similarly, bouquets decorated with asparagus leaves and roses sell for 600 to 500 rupees.
