He feminicide of María Joséthe 17-year-old girl raped, murdered and attacked along with her mother inside an apartment in Iztacalcohas brought to light a large case of other alleged attacks against women in the entity.
It is presumed that the same man who attacked the Bachilleres 3 student in Iztacalco, identified as Miguel “N”, award-winning IPN chemist who currently worked in a hospital and supposed animal defender, would be responsible for the deaths of between 7 and 20 more victims.
Who is Frida Sofía, missing girlfriend of Miguel “N”?
One of the possible first victims of who is beginning to be nicknamed “The chemist of Iztacalco” I would be Frida Sofía, a 22-year-old girl who has been missing since 2015.
Originally from Tlacotepec, Morelos, Frida Sofía arrived in Mexico City to study at the IPN, where she met Miguel “N” and they were going to get married until he disappeared. The now detained man limited himself to telling the others that she “He had returned to his town”.
Upon learning of the case of Miguel “N”, who the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office has declared could be a serial femicide, relatives of a young woman believe that he would be involved in her disappearance almost ten years ago.
What is known about the absence of Frida Sofia Lima Rivera is that it was sentimental partner of Miguel “N”. The last time he heard from her was near Miguel’s home, on Hortalizas Street in the Granjas México neighborhood, in Iztacalco, an area that he had lived in for years.
Frida Sofía’s case remains unsolved since her disappearance was reported in 2015.
The horror deepens with the discovery of skeletal remains of at least seven people in the department of Miguel “N”, along with saws, identification and personal belongings of women. Additionally, a diary found at the scene suggests that the femicide may have documented her crimes.
