There’s nothing like lying down in a freshly made bed in the evening. If only it wasn’t so tiring to make the duvet disappear neatly into the cover. Turn the cover inside out, pull it over the corners and then shake the duvet in – it’s not fun, especially if you’re small or older and don’t have as much strength in your arms. Most of the time the corners don’t sit properly either, so you have to readjust them again.
However, there is a trick that makes the work a little easier. To do this, the cover is turned inside out and spread out flat on the bed. We put the blanket on top of it. Both are then twisted together from the closed side of the duvet cover to form a thick roll.
Then the opening of the cover is placed over the corners of the roll so that the blanket disappears completely into the cover. Then close the zipper or buttons, reach into the open slot in the roll and roll up the blanket again. That’s it. The duvet should be tucked into the cover and the corners should sit neatly in all corners.
It sounds complicated at first, but it is very simple. However, one challenge remains when changing the bed: the fitted sheet. Unfortunately, this cannot be achieved with this trick.
