An award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup took place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Day.Az reported on Sunday with reference to Trend.

The winners and prize-winners in the individual exercise program with clubs and a ribbon, as well as the teams in group exercises that performed in the program with three ribbons and two balls, were awarded.

Sofia Raffaeli (Italy) rose to the highest step of the podium in exercises with clubs, Taisiya Onofriychuk (Ukraine) took second place, and Daria Varfolomeev (Germany) took third place.

The awards were presented by the President and Founder of ACES EUROPE Gian Francesco Lupattelli, Head of Strategy, Partnership Policy of the Global Observatory on Gender Equality and Sport Krina Govender, Secretary General of the Burkina Faso Gymnastics Federation Tapsoba Mahamoudou.

In the exercise program with a ribbon, Daria Varfolomeev (Germany) won the gold medal, Elvira Krasnobaeva (Bulgaria) won the silver medal, and Taisiya Onofriychuk (Ukraine) won the bronze medal.

The awards were presented by Isabelle Savade, member of the Technical Committee for Rhythmic Gymnastics of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), Isabelle Bonnal, Commissioner General for Education, Youth and Sports of Monaco, and Johannes Andreas De Jeu, member of the board and president of the Federation of Municipalities and Sports of the Netherlands.

Among the teams in group exercises in the program with three ribbons and two balls, the Japanese team took first place, the Spanish team took second place, and the Italian team took third place.

The awards were presented by Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of Albania Endrit Hoxha, Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Elnur Mamedov, and member of the local organizing committee Zaur Suleymanov.

It should be noted that the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup was held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 19-21. Over 110 gymnasts from more than 40 countries took part in the competition.
