The Mayor’s Office of Pereira is preparing to start the 2024 Peasant and Village Games, an event that exalts customs and provides an opportunity for residents and farmers to demonstrate their great sporting talent. “This Sunday, April 21, the inauguration of the 2024 Peasant and Village Games will be a tribute to the sporting and cultural tradition of our inhabitants of rural areas,” said the mayor of Pereira Mauricio Salazar.
Sports Secretary Sandra Grajales reported that entry to the event is free, and it is required to present the official ticket to enter the Hernán Ramírez Villegas stadium. Doors will open at 1:00 pm and close at 3:00 pm, so it is recommended to arrive early to make the most of all the scheduled activities.
One of the most anticipated moments of the day will be the live performance of the renowned popular music singer, Jhonny Rivera, who will delight the audience with his music and contagious energy. Performing all of his hits, Jhonny Rivera promises to offer an unforgettable day for athletes and attendees.
The community is informed that, for safety reasons, the entry of pregnant women or children under one (1) year old will not be allowed. The priority is to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees.
