Six investment tourism projects are in the works across Greece, with the aim of strengthening the country’s tourism infrastructure.

Hotels of different categories and styles, as well as a marina for the mooring of large pleasure boats are in the stage of the required permits, both in popular destinations in the country, such as Kos, and in destinations that are not widely known to foreign travelers.

According to a recent study by the Institute of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (INSETE), in 2023 alone more than 5 billion euros were invested in Greek tourism for the construction of new units, the renovation of existing ones, but also the development of projects in other sectors of tourism, such as in rooms for rent, villas, etc.

In Kos
In Kos, one of the most popular tourist destinations for travelers who choose the “sun-sea” model for their holidays, the development of a new 5-star hotel unit, with a total capacity of 805 beds, owned by the company “Prospect Kos A. As stated in the Environmental Impact Study of the project, for the investment of 25 million euros, the unit will operate only during the summer season, specifically from May to October, providing hospitality, catering and entertainment services, while approximately 80 people will be employed during the operating period.
