Additional expertise at the Institute of Criminalistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will clarify how a driver, who was found to be behind the wheel with almost two parts per million according to the drug dealer, turned out to have a zero amount of alcohol on a blood test. About the curious case from the village of Balkantsi, told Nova TV. Traffic police in Strazhitsa caught a driver with 1.8 percent of alcohol. However, he requested a blood sample and it turned out to be negative.

The license plates were removed, the vehicle was impounded and the man was arrested. Now he will sue the Ministry of Interior, as he believes he was duped.

Milcho Angelov was stopped on Wednesday around 4:30 pm by traffic police officers. He stated that he had not consumed any alcohol and that the dragger was set. The man explained that the tip was placed directly on the device.

“Actually, a high alcohol result was reported on the technical device, and the blood sample was 0.06 per mille, which is why the supervising prosecutor assessed an additional examination of the control sample at the Institute of Forensic Science of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If the additional examination also differs from the reading of the technical device, the – a DNA examination will probably be assigned to see if the sample belongs to this person,” explained the spokesperson of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo Totko Totev.
